I want to be clear: I WILL NOT screw people over or take advantage of anyone. My goal is to build a reputation for reasonable pricing and quality work. Earning repeat customers through honesty and fairness is more important to me and will be more lucrative over time than making an inflated profit on a single job.

I understand that my estimates can cause sticker shock—I feel it too when I give them. But the reason I operate this way is because nothing ruins my day more than having to pay way more than I was quoted. That number they give you kind of sticks in your head, and you think, “No biggie, I can handle that,” and then BAM! That’s why I’m okay with ruining your day with the worst-case scenario upfront, knowing I’m almost always going to brighten it in the end. The unknown of just how bad they’re going to stick it to you in the end is way worse than being prepared for and at peace with the worst, especially knowing the chances of it happening are pretty slim.

Here’s how it works:

  • Maximum Quoted Amount: The quoted amount is the highest you will pay. Even if the job takes longer than expected and incurs additional costs on my end, you will not be charged more than the quoted amount.
  • Worst Case Scenario: The maximum quoted amount is based on the worst-case scenario—if everything goes as poorly as possible. This is a safeguard for me to ensure I can cover all potential challenges without losing my shirt on the job.
  • Fair Adjustments: If the job takes less time than expected, proceeds more smoothly, isn’t as challenging, or if we encounter fewer complications, I will adjust the final cost accordingly and fairly. While you should be prepared for and okay with paying the maximum amount quoted if needed, it is extremely rare (in fact, it hasn't happened yet) that the final bill reaches the initial estimated amount.
  • Transparency: My goal is to be transparent and fair throughout the entire process. I aim to build trust and ensure you are comfortable with the pricing and the quality of work provided.
  • Time and Materials Quotes: For jobs that are difficult to quote, such as roof damage or other scenarios where the extent of the work isn’t clear until I get into it, I will provide a time and materials type quote with no guaranteed maximum.
